Anti-Lager-Action-Tour to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
against ex-miltary base, container-lager, jungle heim, repression camps and deportation prisons

Last year, the Anti-Lager Campaigners toured
to different states in Germany for global
freedom of movement, against borders,
deportation prisons, repression camps, jungle-
heims, social exclusion, seperatism, isolation,
injustice etc. for 17 days. That was a
good move, it was successful and has many
advantages.eg the targeted lager was closed,
new lager was built close to the center of
the local government, the refugees relocated,
few to private flat, few legalised, many
others were housed in the new lager with
improved infrastructures, heimrat was formed,
integration and contacts started, isolation
is gone and the enviroment and the
atmosphere looks more friendly.

As a good move, many uncivilised and
undemocratic actions of the states were
brought to public awareness. Refugees and
migrants knew that, they are not alone and
that some people are still worried over their
deteriorating welfare. New refugees came
out and became active. Many refugees- and
migrant-organisations spring up and started
to initiate actions in their different regions.
Refugees and migrants in Meckl.Vorp. can
never be counted out. Many built contacts
during the Anti-Lager-Tour last year, started
doing something to improve their situation
and living conditions. In 2004, the Anti-
Lager visited only one Repression-Lager in
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern – Tramm, but on
24th/25th september 2005 the Anti-Lager
will start from Bramsche to Meckl.-Vorp. The
Anti-Lager will visit two Lager if not three.
More protest actions are coming up. Three

Lagers now in question are: Ex-military base
in Ribnitz Damgarten-Zaal, Repression-Lager
in Retschow and the Container-Lager in
Schwerin.

Schwerin (Wohnheim Görries):

This is in fact a symbol of extremism, intolerance,
separatism and injustice in the State
of Meckl-Vorp. In reality, these are absolutely
containers, where the refugees and migrants
were packed like commodities awaiting
for shipment. History says that during
the fall of Nazi-Era, when the russian soldiers
entered Berlin/Brandenburg in 1945
the Nazis escaped with their captives to
Schwerin (the dead march) and Schwerin
has not given account of those captives or
bringing those extremist captors to justice.
But now, Schwerin has caged the refugees
and migrants into containers. For better or
for worse? In this case the authorities in
Schwerin and Meckl.-Vorp. in general must
make their position about the fight against
racism, extremism, injustice, undemocratic
actions, intolerance, lager, separatism, border
and repression clearer. Based on this
and other reasons, the refugees and migrants
in Schwerin are calling on the Anti-
Lager-Tour, the caravan for the rights of refugees
and migrants, and well wishers of
foreigners to intervene immediately on their
situation and living conditions inside lager
container. They bitterly complained that the
container is very hot in summer and very
cold in the winter. They also complained
about the low roof, location, living conditions,
insect bites which make living there
horrible, radical and systematic deportations,
exclusion and isolation inside this containerlager.
This old system can never be allowed
to continue neither in the state of
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern nor elsewhere.

Ribnitz-Damgarten-Saal
(Ex-military base)

The situation here looks more horryfying. In
definition, this is an ex naval base with lots
of military leftovers which causes sleepless
nights to refugees. This lager in Zaal is
surounded in the east and the north by the
high sea, in the west by very strong demarcation
with no go zone written on them,
underground bunkers and other unknown
military left overs and in the south by large
farmlands and a small road to the farm.
Many refugees there are traumatized, many
are sick and helpless, all are living in fears,
all wished to be relocated to another landkreis
or state if possible where their dignity
and rights can be respected as humans.
Again, many complained bitterly against a
social worker in their heim, the social amt,
foreigners office, the system in the state,
repression, suppression, exclusions, separatism,
injustice, bad infrastructures, electricity
supply which is switched off by 10 pm. „We
are not save” said some refugees. Worst
even, only one supermarket in the town, the
articles are monopolistic and expensive. „We
have complained to our Behörde and the
sozialamt, who said, they can not help us,
they have no money and we questioned
what of Rostock and many other landkreis in
the state. They (behörde and social) said
those landkreis have money which this landkreis
has not„. Based on these and many
other reasons, all the refugees who live in
Ribnitz Damgarten-Zaal want imediate and
unconditional closure of this ex-nazi-militarycamp
called refugee-heim and immediate
relocation of all the refugees to another
landkreis and if possible another state where
their freedom and rights must be respected.
In support of their whishes, resistance and
rights, all the activists in the state of
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern appealed to the
government to close this ex-military-base
without delay.

Boizenburg-Horst

In practice earlier this was earlier a reception
camp for Refugees and migrants. But now?
It is one of the worst repression, deportation
and detention Lager for refugees and
migrants in Europe. One may wonder what
is democracy and tolerance when the state
authorities see deportation, fake euro, residenzpflicht
and lager system as human right.
Earlier legalisations were reviewed again,
people who have stayed ten years and
above, and people with Duldung are forced
to go to deportation camp in Boizenburg.
There, they (the refugees and migrants) will
stay until they give up for so called voluntary
return or deportation.
The state of Mecklen-burg-Vorpommern,
stationed special police force inside that
camp to carry out daily repressions, detentions,
abuses, residence controls inside the
house and deportation (sharpest end of
racism). One must wonder what is happening
in the state of Mecklen-burg-
Vorpommern. In conclusion, the so called
democrats are undemocratic and they have
failed. This exposes all the crimes against
foreigners commited in the state. This is
new millenium and the world is in new
system. A word is enough for a wise.

Retschow (nahe Bad Doberan)

This is repression-Lager, the atmosphere here
is at its boiling point. Everybody (inhabitants)
is of the opinion to close that Lager unconditionally.
For example people feel unsave in
the streets of Bad Doberan, nazi attacks are
rampant, sanitary condition is a catastrophy,
infrastructures have decayed, no bus on
weekends, no contacts with the people in
that area, no integration, health condition is
nil, in some rooms people are packed or
stuffed six to ten in one room and almost all
the refugees who live in Retschow are traumatized,
because of the situation and living
condition. Many meetings took place inside
that lager. The responsible authorities were
informed, the authorities in Bad Doberan
have sent Emergency-Inquiry-Commitee who
made an emergency visit to the lager. This is
medicine after death, because no refugee in
Retschow has any more appetite for that
lager. In another serious developements, the
refugees in Retschow organised, united and
sent a protest letter to responsible authorities
explaining their wishes. In reaction, the
authorities in Bad Doberan have started venting
their anger toward the refugees. Fear
has griped all the refugees and they are now
scared to participate in all the actions
against the landkreis and the state. Some
refugees made things clearer saying they
(the authorities) have started closing well
situated heims and relocating the inhabitants
to Retschow repression-camp and other
lagers in the state, this means that Retschow
can only be closed when all of us (the refugees)
are deported and now we are all,
almost facing deportation.

The true position: Isolation, repression,
and abuse of rights has increased in the last
weeks inside the repression camp in
Retschow. This shows the kind of wickedness,
extremism, seperatism, intolerance,
abuse and injustices the foreigners in Bad
Dobberan have to face day by day and in
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in general. This
must never be allowed to continue. Based
on these and many other reasons all the
refugees and migrants in the state of
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and their supporters
are strongly demanding the following
changes:
Unconditional closure of Riebnitz-
Damgarten-Zaal-ex-military-camp, Container-
Lager in Schwerin, Deportation-Lager in
Boitzenburg-Horst and Repression/Isolation-
Lager in Retschow in Bad Doberan.
Relocation of all inhabitants to a better
area
STOP Deportation, Residenzpflicht-
Control, fake Euro system (Gutscheine), isolation,
repression, injustice and illegalisation,
social exclusion, separatism and border
Legalisation, working permission and
freedom for all.
As the Anti-Lager-Tour is warming up for
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern’s second Action-
Tour, it already knew the task ahead (‘Second
war in MV’). Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
has a record of maltreatment of foreigners
which has not changed. Coming soon
2007 G8-Summit in Heiligendamm/
Mecklenburg-Vorpommer, as the state has
already started mobilizing repressive forces
for the G8-Summit, so also refugees and
migrants and their supporters are as well
building connections, contacts and resistance-
movements all over the world against
the State and its system. Some refugees and
migrants have already started paying high
prices for the forthcoming G8-summit in
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. For example:
- all asylums were rejected with speed of
lightning.
- Almost all the refugees are facing deportation.
- All refugees living closer to the zone of
the intending G8-meeting in Mecklenburg-
Vorpommern are being relocated to even
worse Lager where they can never be noticed.
- Very strict law on residents to be imposed
during the G8-meeting.
- Attack of activists is now rampant as
well as deportation-threat – just to disorganize
the refugees- and migrant’s organisation.
In respect of the refugee’s and migrant’s
right’s and support of their resistance, the
Anti-Lager will visit and make 2-days actions
in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern from 24th-
25th September 2005. In 2007 the refugees
and migrants and their supporters are expecting
more than 20.000 protestors all over
the world in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, but
on, before and after then refugees and
migrants will continue to mount their resistance
to bring their problems to public
awareness.
